So your Westinghouse SK32H240S TV has sound but no video or the video only works for a few seconds. This is a VERY common problem with this model. I searched and searched on the net for an easy fix to no avail. I started tinkering around with the unit and found the problem. Here is how to fix this thing.

What you need!
You will need moderate soldering skills to accomplish this. If you don't know how to solder I would find someone who does to help
Philips Screw driver (one with a removable tip will not fit into the hole)
Soldering Iron
Desoldering braid
New Power Transformer (mine was a 4301H)

My little warning. 1. You may perminantly kill your TV if this is done wrong. 2. Capacitors on the circuit board CAN hold a charge and give you a little zap if you arc across the connections.

First unplug all the cables and lay the tv flat on the screen. I would make sure its on carpet or something soft so you don't scratch the screen. In the picture below I have highlighted all the screws that need to come out. The screws highlighted in GREEN are for the stand.

after all the screws are out, pull on the back untill it lifts off. You will then see the power board on the left side.

Unplug all the cables going into the power board. There should be 1 on top, 1 on bottom, and 6 on the left side. Then remove the 6 small screws from around the board. Look at the board for signs of destruction. The common problem seems to be the transformers. It should be pretty obviouse what is dead. Mine is shown below.

Once you have located the bad transformer search on the internet for the transformer on Google. 4h.b0700.051 transformer or click on this. I got mine on Ebay for 29.99 with free shipping. Make sure the model of the board is the same as mine. I am not sure if they used different parts at all. Once you have the new transformer. Start by unsoldering the old one. The picture below shows the points I unsoldered.

Below is a picture of my old transformer. As you can see but there is a whole section on the bottom missing.

Push the new transformer into the holes. My new transformer looks NOTHING like the old one. But it works just the same. Then solder all the pins back in.

Now put all 6 screw back into the powerboard and screw it back onto the back of the TV and connect all the cables back up.

Now put the cover back on.

Last plug everything back into the TV and turn it on!

I hope this helps at least 1 person out there.
